Post was conceived by the Contemporary and Modern Art Perspectives (C-MAP) cross-departmental research group within the Museum of Modern Art as a platform for sharing and discussing primary documents. C-MAP aims to foster discussion of arts practices globally, with a focus outside of North America and Western Europe, and so places a high importance on creating communities and opportunities for discussion. The platform we built enables participants to share primary documents, “trip reports”, and essays, as well as inviting any visitor to reply and join in the community discussion. It continues to be a vibrant community within the arts world.
